Invest in the future

The Global Compact Nordic Network and SA – Business Iceland hosted an open seminar in Reykjavík Iceland on December 5. The theme was Responsible Investments:  UN Global Compact and the Sustainable Development Goals. Several keynote speakers talked about possible business opportunities for responsible companies.

Halldór Benjamín Þorbergsson, director general at SA- Business Iceland, Hrefna Ösp Sigfinnsdóttir, managing director of markets at Landsbankinn. Hildigunnur Engilbertsdóttir, advisor at the  Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Ingunn Ólafsstjóri, HR manager at Efla Engineers, and Hrönn Ingólfsdóttir, PMO Manager at Isavia made their presentations. Over 100 participants attended the seminar but Ragna Sara Jónsdóttir, founder and managing director at FÓLK, was the moderator.

After the meeting, Erika Eriksson, consultant, and researcher at Enact, hosted a workshop on Practical tools to work with UN Global Compact and CSR. Around 50 people took part in the workshop.
